Introduce your preschool aged child to books and the library through the magic of Story Time.
Children not only love stories but listening to stories and rhymes are important early steps toward literacy.
Story Time activities provide an engaging introduction to the written word that will encourage a lifelong love
of books, reading and learning.
It is also a great way to familiarize your child with the library.
Songs, action rhymes and finger plays enhance learning while getting children up and moving together.
Motor, social, and language skills blossom in a fun, safe environment.
Though the programmed is geared mainly to 3 to 6 year-olds, all young children, including siblings, are welcome to attend.
Parents can enjoy the stories with their children or to relax in the reading area.
Sessions are free, drop-in and open to all parents and caregivers of young children.
Also, watch for other children’s programs and events throughout the year.
Lego Time runs all year on Thursdays from 3 to 4:30.
Summer Reading Club runs during the summer months in July and August.
All programs are drop-in and free of charge unless otherwise noted.
