Story Time

Story Time green 08-2015

Wednesdays, January 23 – April 10, 2019

10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Introduce your preschool aged child to books and the library through the magic of Story Time. Children not only love stories but listening to stories and rhymes are important early steps toward literacy. Story Time activities provide an engaging introduction to the written word that will encourage a lifelong love of books, reading and learning. It is also a great way to familiarize your child with the library.

Songs, action rhymes and finger plays enhance learning while getting children up and moving together. Motor, social, and language skills blossom in a fun, safe environment. Though the program is geared mainly to 3 to 6 year-olds, all young children, including siblings, are welcome to attend. Parents can enjoy the stories with their children, or relax in the reading area.

Younger children may enjoy Baby Time or Toddler Time.

Sessions are free, drop-in, and open to all parents and caregivers of young children. Contact Sandra at the library for more information.
