A fun way to get involved in your community!

We love our Volunteens! They help make our library a special place and they have a great time doing it!

  • Volunteens meet on an irregular basis. Talk to Sandra at the library (sschuffert@smitherslibrary.ca) about what happening. There may be more than what is on the event calendar.
  • Leading To Reading – help kids improve literacy by reading with them.
  • Special Events –  Volunteens have made events like the Haunted Library, the library’s Fall Fair parade entry, Kids’ NID Programs & the Teddy Bear Sleepover huge successes.
  • Recommending Good Reads for other teens.
  • What are your interests? Choose which activities you would like to participate in.
  • Sometimes we just get together to chat & come up with ideas and plans.

Questions? Please contact Sandra at sschuffert@smitherslibrary.ca

Step up, show up, have fun & earn your school volunteer credits at the same time.
