No program on February 18th (Family Day)
Toddler Time continues the steps begun in Baby Time. It is geared toward toddlers in the 18 to 36-month age group. Children at this age usually begin to take a more active role in the activities and will often request favourite rhymes and songs they have learned. They also develop social skills and deepen connections with the other children.
At the same time, the adults can enjoy meeting and spending time with other parents of young children. While the program is geared toward 18 to 36-month-old children, parents can choose whether Baby Time or Toddler Time works best for them and their child. If you have more than one child under age 3, come to the group that suits you best, or come to both! For children from 3 to 6 years of age, the library has a Story Time program.
Sessions are free, drop-in, and open to all parents and caregivers of young children. Contact Sandra at the library for more information.
Also, watch for other children’s programs and events throughout the year:
- Summer Reading Club runs during the summer months in July and August
- Lego Time runs all year on Thursdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Thank you to the Friends of the Smithers Library for providing funds for snack time.
