The Repair Café is a neighbourhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out. Bulkley Valley residents can bring their broken items to fix them on the spot with the help of voluntary repairers. Clothes, household items and small appliances, outdoor gear, yard tools, small furniture, jewellery, ornaments and more will be welcome! Find out more about the concept at

Cost: Free (donations are welcome)

Want to help?

We’re looking for local residents with different skills who can be present as repair experts during the Repair Café meetings. We are especially looking for people who are handy with:

* clothing / textile                   * bicycles / outdoor gear                  *ceramics / glass
* electrical appliances           * furniture / wooden objects          *general fix-it skills

And those who enjoy sharing their knowledge with their neighbours.

Want to sign up as a volunteer? Send an email to Erin Hart,

Hope to see you at the Repair Café!
