Winter/Spring 2020: January 20th to April 6th
No program on February 17th (Family Day)
Babytime is a group experience for parents or caregivers and their children from infancy up to about 18 months. The program focuses on learning rhymes, songs, stories, and finger plays to share together. Some easy signing is also introduced to assist pre-verbal children with communication.
Babytime is also a unique opportunity for parents and caregivers to develop a valuable tool kit of activities to use with their children. At 18 months, children progress to Toddlertime. While Babytime is geared toward newborn to 18-month-old children, parents can choose whether Babytime or Toddlertime works best for them and their child.
Sessions are free, drop-in, and open to all parents and caregivers of young children. Contact Sandra at the library for more information.
Also, watch for other children’s programs and events throughout the year:
- Summer Reading Club runs during the summer months in July and August
- LEGO Time runs all year on Thursdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Thank you to the SD54 and the Friends of the Smithers Library for sponsoring this program.
